This course will help you understand the importance of responding to students with empathy and compassion. You’ll learn how to identify signs of mental health challenges and list ideas for supporting students who are displaying those signs.
In this course, you will learn how to identify signs and symptoms that a student might need immediate help. In addition, you’ll learn actions to take if you think a student may be considering suicide. The course includes a list of resources, including crisis hotlines, for additional support.
This course provides strategies for educators to discuss mental health with students, including specific steps for before, during, and after the conversation. You’ll learn how to write out a plan for having a mental health conversation.
