We've reported previously on the new “Scientific Report of the 2015 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee” produced by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) in February.
These guidelines are important to understand. Kerry Clifford, a registered dietitian at Interactive Health, recently took to the airwaves on Chicago's Fox 32 to explain. Among the highlights:
- Eat the yolk. The whole egg is good for you.
- Eat more “good” fats: poly- and monounsaturated fats.
- Eat more fruits and vegetables.
