The U.S. Surgeon General's office created a terrific interactive infographic that let's users walk through various simple tasks individuals can take everyday and the potential benefits from the actions.

One major finding covers workplace wellness programs: “Workplace wellness programs could reduce absenteeism by $2.73 and medical costs by $3.27 per dollar spent.”

Other areas include:

  • Taking public transportation instead of driving
  • Securing recommended screenings for colorectal cancer
  • Eliminating health disparities
  • Making college campuses smoke-free
