The insurance broker's 2014 Trends in Wellness Programs report found a full 77 percent of Wisconsin companies now offering at least one component of an employee work-site wellness program.

Other key findings included:

  • More than 70 percent of organizations provide incentives in their wellness programs to drive participation.
  • Employers who offered health risk assessments and biometric screenings saw the best employee participation, ranging from 76 to 100 percent.
  • The most common stumbling block to success of a workplace wellness program was a lack of resources, especially time and budgeted money.
