Tompkins Elementary School drumming with Toca Percussion artist, Mike Veny. For 3 weeks each student in CET, from kindergarten through the fourth grade participated in a hands on workshop with Mike Veny as part of the music class with music teacher, Marlena Peters.

As a special thank you to the CET PTA, Mike hosted a free drum circle event exclusively for the parents.
In addition to rhythms, games, history, education, Mike brings the 3 B's to Unleash Your Groove™ into every classroom: Belong, Bonding, and Believing. Every student wants to feel that they belong. Once they feel like they belong, they are open to bond with one one another. After they learn to bond, they will automatically believe in themselves more, and the group as a whole.
